Question |
2:43 |
What is the best practice for deploying adobe apps to shared devices and labs? What is the difference between Named User and Shared Device? |
10:00 |
Is the cost of a Named User license a different cost from the Shared Device license? |
11:25 |
We have 2,500 Named User packages. Would you recommend that we set up our installs for our shared devices in our labs? |
14:16 |
When you go to install the package, which set-up EXE do you use, and is it better to install as an admin? |
15:45 |
Follow-up: Does enabling self-service install override GPOs that prevent non-admins from running EXEs? |
18:15 |
We are currently licensed with ETLA, if we go with Named User licensing does it require that we reimage or reinstall the new package? |
22:35 |
For the shared devices we are using Named licensing. What is the best way to periodically update Adobe software? |
25:28 |
Does the Named User package for Shared Device keep the apps up to date, or do you have to redeploy? |
26:58 |
If we use different groups for different licenses, do we need to add one master list to get groups in order to use the Named license? |
34:01 |
If we previously used Google for authentication but would now like to use Azure, would you recommend we set up our new dashboard without migrating our previous users? |
37:02 |
It sounds like the uninstall of Adobe software is very important, especially when going from ETLA to VIP. Could you spend a bit of time going over the uninstall options? |
42:57 |
Can RUN be used to keep Named User packages up to date? |
44:00 |
General information and advice that the moderator thinks is useful in setting up users and SSOs. |
52:50 |
On Mac OS devices where a student's account is set up with a standard account, can this cause problems accessing features with Adobe (T)tools? |

Question |
2:42 |
Do the download documents provide instructions for migrating from named user etla deployment to the new VIP admin console? |
5:10 |
We have been using Adobe VIP for three years. Are we able to continue to use SSO/federated accounts, or do we need to change everything? |
7:55 |
Are there any caveats to using an Adobe package on a VDI platform? |
10:26 |
Can you elaborate on the other option if we don't want support to migrate our directories and domains? Do we delete and recreate the new VIP account? |
15:12 |
Is there a reason why Google Connector is not a good way to go? |
28:44 |
Once we get it all set up, do I need to uninstall and reinstall, or can I just run the license tool that disconnects the old licensing? |
31:44 |
Is there a way to force the Sync when using the Google SAML connection? |
33:54 |
So Google SAML will sync users and, based on groups, add them to the appropriate directory and license them? |
37:21 |
Documentation refers to your new VIP console, but mine looks exactly the same. I got an email awhile back that everything was set, and I logged in the way I always did. Does this mean I'm done? |
40:08 |
In named user licensing, instead of assigning specific users or groups to a product profile can it be set up so any users or provision can sign in to use Adobe, and that would cause a license to be consumed? |
40:32 |
My account tab has none of the new info that will be filled in. Can you help? |
48:55 |
I have a question about the mobile app. If I'm going to set everyone up with Federated IDs, because our students are working from home on their iPads, will they be able to download the apps they need with Federated SSO, or can that also work with the enterprise SSO? Is there a distinction there? |
52:29 |
With Enterprise, when the users log in, do they create their own password? |
53:55 |
Do you have any documentation for deploying Adobe on Chrome devices? |
Aug. 6 - Adobe Deployment Office Hours

Question |
1:20 |
How do you access the admin console? |
5:25 |
We need to empty an ETLA directory of users to release a student domain to be able to add the domain to the VIP console. So far, choosing 100 users on the screen and removing them is the fastest and only method of deletion, but it sometimes fails. We have over 4,000 students to remove. Am I missing another way to remove these users? |
8:53 |
If we previously had users set up under different licensing and have moved to VIP, if we add the same user email address from the old account to VIP, will the end user need to do anything on their end? |
10:35 |
Do all users need administrator privileges, even if they're not admin? |
11:50 |
Problem: I can only assign “All Apps for K-12” to Federated IDs. I cannot use the same email address more than once for a federated ID and an Adobe ID. Does this mean that the contract holder cannot be entitled to the product? |
14:44 |
How do packages work if you don't have products in your console? |
19:00 |
Information and details about shared device packages and the importance of saving packages you build. |
21:50 |
Moderator shows some features and discusses navigation tips. |
23:38 |
Can you clarify the uninstall process for the package deployment and how to move users from an old ETLA to the new VIP licensing? |
26:35 |
How do users find their storage space? |
30:05 |
Where are you putting the deployment help link? https://edu.adobeeventsonline.com/cc/Resources/ |
33:45 |
How would you get to the admin console? You stated wanting to sign in with OETC, where does their sign-in information come from? |
35:24 |
